Field Testing the Climate Resilience Toolkit

Antioch University’s Center for Climate Preparedness and Community Resilience convened 29 end-user decision-makers, working with 25 Eastern coastal communities, to “road test” version 1.0 of the Obama Administration’s Climate Resilience Toolkit, which was released in November 2014. Participants (planners, emergency preparedness and municipal administration personnel, natural resource specialists, and others) in the Road Test represented communities from Norfolk, VA, to Rockland, ME.  The Center has compiled, summarized, and shared the results of the road test with Federal agencies to inform ongoing efforts to improve usability of the Climate Resilience Toolkit for decision makers and planners on the ground.  The Road Test also served as an opportunity for peer-to-peer learning and networking.
