Climate Change Communication Strategies
Why is climate change such a polarizing topic? How can educators address this loaded issue effectively in their communities and pro- grams? Participants began this session by exploring ideas like terror management theory and the impact of social and cultural identities on climate-change related behavior. Participants then moved on to discuss climate change communications techniques identified in research that can be applied to education programs. Participants also pinpointed areas in their own practice in which they can implement climate change communications strategies.
