Local Solutions Conference 2014
The May 2014 Local Solutions: Northeast Climate Change Preparedness Conference was a huge success, thanks to the engagement of more than 500 participants from Washington, D.C. to Maine, every state in between, and Canada’s eastern provinces.
Antioch University New England (AUNE) convened this major regional conference, in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. We are inspired by the climate leaders who participated; from the White House to Woodstock, VT, from National Grid to the National Guard, and high school students and teachers to local, state and federal level decision-makers. We delivered more than 20 interactive, capacity-building sessions on all aspects of preparing for severe weather and climate change impacts in the Northeast U.S. Thank you to all of the steering committee members, participants, sponsors, and exhibitors who created this successful conference.
