Registration Grant Applications
We are pleased to offer new registration grant funds to enable participants to apply for a grant to cover conference registration costs up to $345 to participate in the 2018 Local Solutions: Eastern Regional Climate Preparedness Conference, to be held in Manchester, NH, April 30-May 2, 2018.
How may the registration grant funds be used?
Awardees may use these grant funds to cover actual registration costs for the conference, up to $345.
How will the registration grant be awarded?
Registration grant applications will be reviewed and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, until all grants funds have been awarded. Registration grant funds will be provided after the conference based on provision of receipts for actual conference registration expenses up to $345. Those awarded registration grants will be provided a reimbursement form to be used for accessing the award. The deadline for submission of the reimbursement form, with all receipts, is May 18, 2018.

Vermont Travel Grant Application
We are pleased to offer travel grant funds to enable local government decision makers, community-based engaged residents, and others from Vermont to participate in the 2018 Local Solutions: Eastern Regional Climate Preparedness Conference, to be held in Manchester, NH, April 30-May 2, 2018.
How may the travel grant funds be used?
Awardees may use travel grant funds for expenses related to the Local Solutions conference – registration, lodging at the conference hotel (using the Manchester Downtown Hotel group rate), and travel (e.g., bus fare, mileage, tolls, parking).
Who is eligible for a travel grant?
Travel grants to leaders and residents from Vermont will be awarded with preference to these categories:
- Vermont residents actively engaged in building climate resilience and preparedness, within their communities, and/or at a state level
- Municipal employees (e.g., city/town administrator/manager, emergency preparedness personnel, public works personnel, planning staff, parks and recreation staff, code and zoning personnel)
- Elected or appointed municipal decision-makers (e.g., mayor; city/town-councilor; selectboard member; members of zoning board of appeals, planning board, conservation commission, and historic district commission)
- County government employees
- Regional planning council personnel (council of governments; regional planning and development agencies)

Maryland Travel Grant Application
We are pleased to offer travel grant funds to enable local leaders and residents from Maryland as well as Maryland’s Commission on Climate Change to participate in the 2018 Local Solutions: Eastern Regional Climate Preparedness Conference, to be held in Manchester, NH, April 30-May 2, 2018.

Awardees may use travel grant funds up to $1,000 for expenses related to the Local Solutions conference – registration, lodging at the conference hotel (using the Manchester Downtown Hotel group rate), and travel (e.g., mileage, tolls, parking).
